Honestly if you are not wanting spoilers about book three I would not recommend going to a forum dedicated to book four.
But I for one am really excited to see what happens with the TALK that is going to happen after the fight on Nysgaurd!! I mean come one there was all that good tension when Tom walked into the planning room and Bugramus practically acknowledged all of the wrong doings and Dogma that has been spread around about Orcus.
MMMMM do I smell some holy Arcons on a hot seat!!You should read C.S. Lewis’ Screwtape letters. Its about a higher up demon named Screwtape who is writing letter to his nephew Wormwood. Pretty much the loving Uncle giving good advice on how to Wormwood can corrupt his charge. Really a good book.

[/quote]That is one of the books I’ve read lately – enjoyed it, but that was largely due to the fact that I created a D&D adventure based on this idea about 15 years ago – and ran my players through it…..

[/quote]Another good kind of litRPG is the Daniel Black series. Book one has some more adult theme parts so if you can’t read that or get offended by it then i would skip the series. But i think over all on of my all time favorites.
Ok but if Talarius goes over to the Doom side and becomes Doomed he then is a Demon and torture is just four play. Plus who wouldn’t want to be with one of the Lord of Oaths top guys.
Also could serve up some really good love/ hate dialog with Talarius. Because he did betray her for his God who he currently is having questions about.
Talarius I think hooks back up with his Old Flame Melisandra after coming over to the Doom side of things.
Here is my wild out in left field thought.
HILDA! And here is how I see it would play out. Tiernon needs to really find out what is going on with his brother and see where he stands. Hilda has been really good at the new role of spy. So she demands that she accompany Talarius back to the Abyss until her job is complete.
Talarius at least in my mind goes back to that Abyss instead of rejoining Teirnon cause he needs time to process and I think he will realize the best place to be with his thoughts and have space is in Doom.
So from there I believe Hilda gets to know Tom and they first just develop a more friendship that maybe by the last book turns into something.
Maybe Tom is forced into the God things cause Hilda no longer followers Tiernon and followers Tom because she loves him and is about to Die and the only way to save her is if he does the God thing and becomes the TRUE GOD OF OATHS!!!!!Or its some crazy EX either or 😀
So talking about Mana supply and the difference between what the current Gods have to what currently Mount Doom has. It makes it sound like the only reason Tom and the D’Orcs were on the same playing ground as the rest of the pantheon in Nysguard. Is because they were having to channel to get their mana?
It just seems like after this conflict and the current events that the Pantheon could wipe the floor with MT Doom with ease. Really the only thing keeping them on the board is that the 5 siblings do not want to kill their warden.
So in the first book Talarius is just finishing up fighting and dispatching of zombies that have affected a town. And in this he knows that they will not be accepted into Tiernons Heaven but they might be spared damnantion.
So what is Hell to the people of Astlan? Is it the Abyss where it is ruled by Demons? Or is there another realm (Hell) that they believe the damned go to?
If it is the Abyss than Tiernons actions when he gets to the Abyss is off because there is no Damned there and clearly that is another part of the Tiernon doctrine that he will have to come to grips with.
Or is there another Realm maybe ruled by another “God” that rules over the damned that we just haven’t been introduced yet to?
The reason for asking is we have brought in other religions into the story that we are some what familiar with but haven’t been introduced to really any “God” that rules an under world or the damned. So just curious if this has been brought up some where or are we yet to learn of this?Honestly I did not put two and two together with Dis Pater when I read that. Ha ha sometimes I get lost with all the different connections.
I do believe though that I am going to start and re read all the current books again.
I just finished re reading the Daniel Black series and yours is next on the list to re read. So hopefully I can put more things together. 😀Also side question. Huh very interesting and exciting! There is so much that Tom has to “re learn” that is now lost to get Doom back up to the power it once was.
It’s kind of sad that Damien would say no to Tom’s offer if Tom actually made him the offer. Because he really could use a more learned Wizard on his team that could dedicate the time to go threw the Library of Doom on try to help learn what has been lost. And to be honest it shouldn’t be to hard to find a Wizard who wouldn’t jump at the opportunity to go threw all the books that they have stashed there.
Also excited to see what happens with the Orcs on Asltan and the inhabitants on the Nimbus. Pretty much at the moment their original mission is mute. So I am hoping that they stick around to make sure that peace is had and the elves do no more to jeopardize the peace. And just maybe Tom makes an appearance and maybe invites them to Doom to see what is really going on.Really looking forward to this actually. Biggest thing is we have never really seen what a mage can truly do when they are connected to a pool!
How does it affect their magic? Does it just give them an endless supply or does it also help speed up certain magics?
Not sure if I have read Beta 4 but I think it would be a good point to have him maybe look at recruiting more mages to become warlocks. A mage tailor who worked for Doom could be very handy in rebuilding Doom. Plus I am sure the more elite mages probably look down on the more non battle mages and could there for be a good recruiting opportunity!
