Do demons exist in more dimensions at one time than a human, and if so is it possible for the demon to split itself apart and exert an influence on multiple words at the same time? It may have been mentioned that some of the gods exist in more than one world at once, so I was curious to whether or not demons where capable of the same thing.

Actually if you take Lenamare at his word he was originally planning to show his students how to bind a bound minor demon when he found Tom. He thought that with his talent he could easily bind an unbound minor demon. He was quite surprised as he had believed most of the demons already bound so new demons were quite rare.

Tom then started to struggle more as they initially reacted thus bringing up his resistance, but Lenamare was ill prepared to bind a demon. The fact that Tom comes from a magic poor world is likely the only reason he was bound as people from a world rich in magic would more strongly resist speaking their true name as Tom was at the time not quite as suspicious as he should have been. Tom could in fact be stronger than a type IV and if so it is quite likely he will grow into that role quite soon. He is already a powerful IV so it is feasible as he has yet to learn.

Not quite sure what happens though. I know demons exist on a spectrum of power, but I lack knowledge as to what occurs when they advance. I would assume that a demon that was originally red that advanced to yellow would appear different than it had. I am also quite sure that a demon bound with a spell of a lower rank than it was would grow faster than a demon in the reverse situation, but for clarification ask Tizzy as my knowledge of Astlanian demons is lacking in some areas.

The abyss is mostly a wasteland filled with countless demons, demons are almost impossible to kill their, and the fact that the gods go out of their way to make their own territories and then never once try to purge the abyss leads one to conclude that the abyss might have a very negative effect towards gods. If not then what reason do you have for as to why the gods haven’t tried to destroy the demons sooner apart from giving their followers a common evil enemy for whom they need show remorse which will cause them to seek protection from a higher power?

I kind of want to see a god killed, it would bring chaos to the land, bring doubt to their fateful, and it might make them question for what reasons they willingly choose to summon demons into the world.

Necromancers are specialized wizards, and wizards focus on the manipulation of mana. Commonly wizards can and do manipulate animus indirectly as they use mana to manipulate animus. They attract animus with mana and then use mana to shape a body to house the animus so as to create mana bodies. They may also use mana to bind mana to objects that may act as a phylactery for their immortal soul. Animus free of a body or free of mana will simply move on to the next world or dissipitate depending upon the stability of the animus.

How many of the people who knew Tom’s true name are still alive? It started at about 20 and rose to maybe 26 tops, but I can only confirm about less than half of those people as still being alive.

Also what would happen if a demon where to learn a human’s true name, and is their a way to force a human to relinquish their true name in Astlan.

You know apart from forcible removing them from their body, severing from their silver cord, and then placing them inside a circle that compels them to name themselves.

Are weapons that are effective against demons also effective against other mana entities such as dragons, avatars, angels, deities, and djinn?

Are their demons in the abyss from planes other than Astlan?

Not demons that were born to astlan, but are demons created in any other place and then just dumped there.

They must hate Tom as an agent of chaos. Most of these people are old powerful and methodical, so they make plans based on any and all variables they know and a few they don’t. Tom as a newcomer to the world is at or approaching the height of his growth curve as he work out how to use his innate talents. This will make them think he was holding out and question how long his machinations have been in the works. As they plan for his future course of actions they will be confused as they will appear as elusive and shifting as desert sand in the wind as he lacks a clear goal. In essence a powerful demon of unknown reasons appears in the world to disrupt the plans of those in power leaving chaos and fear in his wake as people worry about his unknown end game and objective, as he has known and is mostly wandering around to relieve boredom.

It would be amusing if Ramses were to restart his line as he could make himself the near spitting image of his portraits and use the abilities of a time warrior. It is interesting to watch the demons, as they seem to be the ones who innovate a new branch of magic, teach it to the mortals, and then go on to take some of the fruits of their labor as they only share a portion of what they know and will steal the mortal’s knowledge to further their own ends. Haven’t seen what Bess can do, but seeing as Demons rarely share all of what they know it will be interesting to watch them and see if they have hidden any branches of magical knowledge from mortals, or possibly concealed an entirely new from of magic such as one which uses animus as the basis of manipulation as opposed to mana. Mana is the most easily manipulated, put animus naturally draws mana, so some form of animus manipulation could be powerful, or I’m describing druids, but since they has as of yet not been explained in detail what I know of them is quite vague.

Dragons are demons without human souls, but with the souls of some reptilian beings that dislike humans. A long time ago some dragons escaped the abyss and settled in Astlan. Their descendants then started to populate the place. They look quite different from what the Astlanians think of as demons and are scattered throughout the land, so they are mostly thought of as intelligent magic creatures of whose origins they do not know. All dragons are simply nonhuman demons whose species name I do not know. Dragons don’t look anything like a human so people often aren’t repulsed by them, so most simply fear them.

Do demons from similar planes try to recreate their home in the abyss and make cities based on that? I know the city Tom was in had many elements from his Earth and he was likely from a central reality as he recognized elements of cities in his world in the demonic city. I ask this as demons are all shunted to the abyss. This means that demons will have variances based in part on where they originate and where their summoners originate. I’m curious as this means the abyss is likely populated by demons from countless worlds and realities. It also makes the boom gate much more practical as it would allow for quick transport between the extremely distant cities as the abyss is in all likely hood a plane that is near many other planes.

Demons will thus likely group with other demons from a similar world to share in past culture and due to similar idiosyncrasies that might exist across a single world. They will also likely take interest in their summoners world. Wizards from other worlds will have difficulty finding the name of a demon created outside their plane. Those from their summoners plane will be the people they most often interact with, and thus be the ones with whom they will have to be indentured to as names do not travel as often.

So if a lot of demons choose to worship another demon, would it ascend to become some form of demonic god.

Animus is the manifestation of the fifth element, Spirit. Mana is some sort of cosmic glue that both binds elements together, and keeps them separate, like an invisible film to keep them from completely mixing if my understanding is correct. How much is present varies from reality as they each have their own rules. The link will in some instances occur naturally as Animus will often draw mana towards it, wizards however often do the reverse in using mana to draw animus towards them. They use mana to attract any desired element which they desire to use for their spells and then manifest.

I am not an expert and am basing this on my knowledge of astlanian magic.

What would happen if Tom where to use and elemental form of all four elements at the same time?
