How many posts results into what rankings?

Thanks for going over my threads NocandlE. I tend to splurge, if I post to frequently I talk to myself and limit topics, so it is best to wait and see what others do. Thus this show patience, a prized trait amongst stalkers and their variants.

Out of curiosity if the Humans declared war on the dark alvar and tried to exterminate them, would the light alvar aid them?

Since its a river where does the Styx start and where does it end?

Styx is important, so something good(or bad), according to ones perspective is probably there.

Beyond the next hill was just a way of saying he just keeps moving with no end in sight.
    ….anywho
I’m not an expert, but the Abyss lacks food for humans, and gods in general, so how will Talarius survive?
I also think it will be nice to see his view of black and white broken. Nothing is ever black & white, but it is always various shades of grey.

Clearly Tom has some grand scheme in place as no demons in the abyss no of his existence, and it is quite difficult to hide a IV from an immortal populace for so long. He has a son who is also a IV that looks just like him, but smaller. This shows that he is clearly a being of great power and foresight:-k . He must be purposefully trying to deceive other into thinking him a newcomer, but he shows an aptitude for making physical gates into Astlan, and stole mana from a God[-o< . At least that is what others will think. Tom's overwhelming lack of any real plan or ideas of what to do other than study to be a better animage, survive, screw Lenamore, and alleviate boredom](*,) will leave everybody trying to counter a large butterfly of chaos without any direction what so ever:d/ . Remember it is very hard to predict the actions of somebody without any real definitive foundation or goal:-s . No will be able to stop him from reaching his destination beyond the next hill.=d>

Is their anything akin to a shadow demon at a higher level like perhaps one of the rank IV+? I ask as that would be a very misleading demon. It would be darker and larger than other shadow demons, but it would still be a shadow demon.

Wizards lack objects to store great quantities of mana. To store a large quantity of mana one needs animus, and animus is found around life. The more experienced and intelligent the lifeform the better. People however don’t like enslaving the souls of others solely to make better items, however egoswords are somewhat tolerated, provided they gave consent.

Blood magic is the most powerful. By that I mean if you wish for a truly devastating spell or item, you need to sacrifice something, so either you sacrifice yourself, which is commended, or you sacrifice others, which is reviled. A pragmatist would do the later on a field of battle. A hero or fanatic would do the former. Pragmatist are more numerous, but fanatics are more tolerated. It’s just difficult to collect and retain animus as it often naturally tries to disperse once removed from its body.

Certain items can channel and retain mana better than others, but animus could still improve these, so it’s relative.

How would the animus of a half-elf half-human act on death? Would it act human and linger, act elven and return to nature, or would it do something else?

I know this change is superficial, but it could be tempting to employ.
You could change the font for different types of creatures, like demons speech is more jagged and less appealing and angelic speech is more smooth/ curving and more attractive.

I read that Thomas was from a mid-tech earth. If thats so does that mean that the demons have high tech weaponry that even they fear. Something that would make a nuclear explosion look weak or advanced tech for convenience, like tablets for notes, boards to allow those without wings to hover/fly. Television to relieve mild amounts of boredom, armor that can defend them from annoying mortals, and other things like that?

Animagic is knowledge used to aid natural talent, so would Tom’s overwhelming talent in linkmastery allow him to fashion mental constructs similar to the arrows that would allow him to siphon mana from those around him like the priest spell, but to greater effect. Frankly those people are undying vampires who won’t die because as you sustain damage they use your energy to heal themselves. While useful in weaker characters for fast growth they are monsters when fully grown. I mention this because I want to see Tom as blue or indigo for no other reason than the fact that none would believe talent would allow a newcomer so much growth so quickly. Also it would be interesting to see animagic mix like fire and earth for magma and steel, since they are often seen together. Also what happened to his energy blasts that he used to hit Lenamare?

That is ridiculous. A demon could just open a physical gate between the abyssal plane and Astlan and then just walk through it physically. Powerful demons could hide their presence, and wizards are not as competent as they would like to think. They are quite competent in some fields of study, but in fields that involve things such as demons, which is built on false assumptions and beliefs, they find research lacking. When the basis of the system, which is deemed an absolute truth is wrong, it makes it near impossible to truly grasp what is going on. They can get closer, but that fundamental error makes it quite difficult, complex, and lacking.

Demons could all still be sane. They may have a different perspective due to their longevity and nature, but their decisions still seem to be overly rational. If anything humans would be insane when compared to a demon. Human actions are quite erratic, demons are acknowledged as to being quite rational. Those who are insane by human definitions normally have a broken psyche or warped emotions. Demons are more machine like in nature. They still have emotions, but when compared to a human the fluctuations often seem to be less intense and shorter. An enraged demon will quickly reel in its anger and not blindly charge in. It might attack that which enraged it, but they will do so in a rational manner. Humans in this setting from an object stand point are insane.

Insanity is the state of being seriously mentally ill or madness. It can also be defined as extreme foolishness or irrationality. Rational beings would try reason or understand the reasoning of all other beings. A belief that all members of another sentient race act in one manner is highly irrational. Magic really does make it quite difficult to be entirely rational as ones perception of reality affects it just as much as reality itself. The collective perception of reality by all sentient beings also affects magic to an extent as well. Most demons that still live are highly rational, as are the Oorstemothian, the scary thing is that both groups tend to be frighteningly sane. So sane that to others they appear mad. Their approach to sanity is somewhat different as demons tend to be individuals and the Oorstemothian have somehow developed a way for humans to almost recreate a hive mind.

Emotions are one of the greatest forms of insanity. One who can control their emotions are sane. Demons and Oorstemothian who have impeccable emotional control, as they are driven by logic over these emotions are more sane. Not saying either are completely sane, but it is an interesting thought.

What if a demons true name cannot be pronounced. Humans can only make so many sounds.
