Another thought….

If the links between the planes are also frequency based – then the dome spell around the Citadel of Light could actually have been a dampening field or cancelling frequency to disrupt the connection

I’m starting to lean towards the “Lord of Oaths” title

Or “Faithless Gods” – although I think this is a bit short…

    so variations…

“Faithless Gods Atonement” or “Atonement of the Faithless Gods”

“Faithless Gods Redemption” or “Redemption of the Faithless Gods”

“Faithless Gods Penance” or “Penance of the Faithless Gods”

Have you thought about releasing your books via Smashwords as alternative or even as an additional publishing stream???

Upload your book to Smashwords and it will then release it to multiple platforms, such as: Apple iBooks, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, etc.

When I looked into it a couple of years ago, they were releasing to Amazon as well – although I don’t see it listed as a platform anymore.

Would mean that you couldn’t go exclusive publishing with Amazon – but would open up other markets for you.

Not sure if you posted it before….but what are the major plot points that you want to resolve or reveal in bk4 – this may help in determining the right title for bk4

Personal opinion – I wouldn’t use the title “The Doomed God” only for the reason that you have already used the term Doom in the title for book 3

You might want to try “inanimate objects” instead of “non-living objects”…

my first thought when I read the term “non-living” was undead…..which could be problematic considering one side of the battle is essential against the undead of various forms

There are pros and cons to both approaches….either wait unit the first draft is at 80% before handing over to the beta readers or releasing out a chapter or 2 at a time..

with the first approach, it takes a fair amount of time for the beta readers to get through the draft due to the size of the books, and there is a lot of feedback to keep track of and incorporate…..which even as a beta reader I have trouble tracking what has changed between releases, what has been fixed and what is left to be fixed……but, we do get to see the overall story flow for the majority of the book

with the second approach, it would be easier to digest smaller chunks of the book at a time, and possibly catch inconsistencies sooner as well as the dreaded typos and grammar issues, and story feedback and suggestions….but the drawback is that the beta readers don’t know where the story is going….

maybe the solution is to split the process into 2 phases…

Alpha Readers – supply a rough outline of what the entire story will be, and release small chunks of the book as you write – which would require the Alpha readers to wait between “chunk” releases…..for the first rounds of suggestions & fixes

Once the first draft is done – release to the Beta Readers…

Although I would suggest keeping the Alpha readers to a limited number of people that you feel have given you the best advice / feedback during previous beta releases – too many people, and you’ll get too much feedback and advice, and never get out of the Alpha phase

Are you sure that Mr. Fluffy isn’t a construct created by the Denubians and is actually Mr. Fluffy (TM) with the ability to mimic the Archdemon’s voice…..may explain some of the weird comments and sayings that are attributed to the Archemon

    The Devil in the Divinity

    or

    The Divinity in the Demon

A little bit off topic, but what are your plans for the beta of the next book???

Will you be banishing the Beta demons off to a dark corner of the Abyss for 6 month to starve and then feed us a 75% completed book, or trickle feed us small portions of the book as you write??? [-o<

    small thing….

I noticed in the scene where Hilda and co. are stealing/liberating War Arrow from the Rod’s camp that War Arrow is still referred to as a “he” and not a “she”

He’s actually only a fiend, he has simply convinced everyone that he’s an archdemon and he gets away with it!

It’s a shame that the Abyss is so dry (except for Mount Doom) – Trump would have made a perfect Slime Demon….

When it comes to elections….don’t you wish there was a “None of the Above” option to select.

Does anyone else thing that Sentir Fallon is a psychopath???

Found the following definition for psychopath and sociopath…never knew the difference until now…and I think the definition of psychpath fits Sentir Fallon.
Key traits that sociopaths and psychopaths share include:

A disregard for laws and social mores

A disregard for the rights of others

A failure to feel remorse or guilt

A tendency to display violent behavior
In addition to their commonalities, sociopaths and psychopaths also have their own unique behavioral characteristics, as well.

Sociopaths tend to be nervous and easily agitated. They are volatile and prone to emotional outbursts, including fits of rage. They are likely to be uneducated and live on the fringes of society, unable to hold down a steady job or stay in one place for very long. It is difficult but not impossible for sociopaths to form attachments with others. Many sociopaths are able to form an attachment to a particular individual or group, although they have no regard for society in general or its rules. In the eyes of others, sociopaths will appear to be very disturbed. Any crimes committed by a sociopath, including murder, will tend to be haphazard, disorganized and spontaneous rather than planned.

Psychopaths, on the other hand, are unable to form emotional attachments or feel real empathy with others, although they often have disarming or even charming personalities. Psychopaths are very manipulative and can easily gain people’s trust. They learn to mimic emotions, despite their inability to actually feel them, and will appear normal to unsuspecting people. Psychopaths are often well educated and hold steady jobs. Some are so good at manipulation and mimicry that they have families and other long-term relationships without those around them ever suspecting their true nature.

When committing crimes, psychopaths carefully plan out every detail in advance and often have contingency plans in place. Unlike their sociopathic counterparts, psychopathic criminals are cool, calm, and meticulous. Their crimes, whether violent or non-violent, will be highly organized and generally offer few clues for authorities to pursue. Intelligent psychopaths make excellent white-collar criminals and “con artists” due to their calm and charismatic natures.

The cause of psychopathy is different than the cause of sociopathy (1). It is believed that psychopathy is the largely the result of “nature” (genetics) while sociopathy is more likely the result of “nurture” (environment). Psychopathy is related to a physiological defect that results in the underdevelopment of the part of the brain responsible for impulse control and emotions. Sociopathy, on the other hand, is more likely the product of childhood trauma and physical/emotional abuse. Because sociopathy appears to be learned rather than innate, sociopaths are capable of empathy in certain limited circumstances but not in others, and with a few individuals but not others.

Psychopathy is the most dangerous of all antisocial personality disorders because of the way psychopaths dissociate emotionally from their actions, regardless of how terrible those actions may be. Many prolific and notorious serial killers, including the late Ted Bundy and John Wayne Gacy, and Dennis Rader (“Bind, Torture, Kill” or BTK) are unremorseful psychopaths. Psychopathic killers view their innocent victims as inhuman objects to be tormented and violated for their amusement.
