As am I.

I gotta tell you, T-A-G is really testing my patience. I need to go bake something to help me relax…preferably with chocolate chips….
Tizzy, I think you need to share….going into withdrawal, and starting to climb the walls…..this is not good – I’d much rather be flying….

Just been reading “The System Apocalypse” series…by Tao Wong – 6 books at the moment.

First book is – Life in the North

Real world is taken over by RPG style system.

Kept my interest enough to read all 6 books so far

Also, read the “The World” series by Jason Cheek – not bad…3 books so far and I will be getting the next when it comes out.

First book is – First Login

Some books that you might find interesting…..

The Iron Teeth Series by Scott Straughan…..first book is A Goblin’s Tale

Starting to find more and more books where the MC is ‘evil’ or from some type of ‘evil’ race.

The MC for these books is a goblin, with a golblin’s view of the world & attitude.
Darkness is cool, I thought gelatin liked to stay cool?

So Darkness should be your friend? Maybe it’s just me but I only meet gelatinous cubes in deep dark dungeons…

Seems to me that a Shadow demon would be great for a gelatinous cube that wanted to move to a different dungeon.

Although, given your speed, it would probably need to be a very powerful shadow to keep you dark and cool all day, and the next, and next, and next, and…

I also don’t see a lot of gelatinous cubes in theAbyss. Which is one reason I think they like coolness (not cold like on the mountain tops where their is liquid nitrogen snow)

Now, I’m not saying there aren’t any D’Jellos, but…I just haven’t yet met any.

I assume a D’Jello’s hooves, horns and wings would also be made of gelatin, so it could be interesting (and very messy) to watch them flap their wings as they fly.

Since they would regenerate any wing jello that flew off would come back pretty quick…so really very messy.
I don’t think the D’Jellos are in the Abyss any more….didn’t they appear in that movie as extras and not return????

+1 for the Trapped Mind Project by Michael Chatfield – it actually took me months to decide to read the first book, I didn’t like the Blurb description for the book and series and kept putting it off…eventually decided to read it – and then promptly read the next 10 books in the series….

Becoming the Orc Chieftain (First Orcish Era Book 1) by E.M. Hardy – Just read and found it interesting enough to read in 1 sitting, will look at the second book when it’s released. Not a traditional LitRPG, but interesting.

New Era Online by Shemer Kuznits – just read the first book (Life Reset), and about to start on the second (Life Reset: EvP).

If you’re looking for a long SciFi series to read…try the Star Force series by Aer-ki Jyr

The series is made up of novellas – and bundled into 4 novellas per book – they are on KU.

There are 100 novellas in the first series (Origin Series), not sure how many in the second series……

The story can be a bit of a hard slog at times, and the first series spans about 1000 years, but it’s held my interest so far – currently up to novella 68 in the first series.

The first book of 4 novellas is Star Force: Origin Series Box Set (1-4) (Star Force Universe)
Well, prior to Doom uniting the orcs they probably all had different standards of time and measurement. Once they were united would they have been put on a standard system for all works regardless of plane and planet?

If yes, then shouldn’t it be based on some measure of time and space in the Abyss?
This was my thought as I was reading the posts……Mt Doom and the Abyss would be the one constant for all the Orcs – whether in space or on a world…..we already have a form of time – based on the day / night cycle that Mt Doom has just re-established….and I remember some mention of the radius of the radar(?) tech that the space D’Orcs were trying to get back online in Mt Doom…..I would think that would be the default measurement for distance.

Another +1 for Ancient Ruin – I really enjoyed it – thanks for the tip!

Another book that I just finished was

Growing Pains: The Proving Grounds by Wade Adrian

It seems to be the 3rd book in this world – but they seem to be stand alone novels – haven’t read the others in the series.

A bit different from the normal LitRPG – doesn’t focus on the mechanics / leveling aspect…

MC is a coma patient that is hooked up to a new VR MMO via an experimental neural interface – he “wakes” up on the game companies servers (while his body is still in a coma) and is helped by various company employees to get use to the game. He can’t remember his life before hand and the only benefits he has is that he can access some of the game interface functions faster then a normal player using VR gear.

Plot does not revolve around him leveling, but actually helping the game company employees when a rogue programmer tries to destroy the game world – the only world he has.

For those of you who enjoy books about living dungeons – such as the Slime Dungeon and Dungeon Born series….I just stumbled across a web-book based on this…..

I Was Reincarnated as a Magic Academy by Dragomir Cristian Madalin
A slightly perverted, but rather average Romanian ends up dead after being shot in the back of his head while playing his favorite game. He is then reincarnated as the Dungeon Core installed in a Magic Academy. Now, his body is the building of the Magic Academy and his role is to maintain it as well as help the students with their studies while protecting them from various outside forces. Can he do it? With those starting stats, I would be surprised if he didn’t…
….sounds a bit strange but I’m enjoying the series so far….6 story arcs so far – 106 chapters….

Not sure, I’ve only seen the term ‘Dungeon Core’ used in the series related to living dungeons, such as the Slime Dungeon, Dungeon Born and this series (haven’t read any others yet)……they also use the term “Beast Core” as well – seems to be a ‘gem’ inside monsters that are collectible by adventurers once the monster has been slain

I haven’t seen these terms used in other types of LitRPG – starting to wonder if these types of books are a sub-genre of the LitRPG with their own range of specific terms…..a bit like the ‘FTL’ term is used in the Sci-Fi genre
