Unless your stomach is stronger than a Gel’s disolving ability, or you are also a Gel!

The truth, it sets you free! Doesn’t it?

It’s the evil Matri-Patri-archy that is out to suppress the truth and confuse us with their author-trolls who try to shape real histories to their own twisted agendas. OK, it’s really the damn elves, we all know it’s the freaking elves!

PS. Just realized the pejorative nature of that comment. Some of my best friends are trolls. Real trolls, of course, not author-trolls, it really is criminal how the trollkin have been “demonized” if you know what I mean and their good racial name ran through the muck!

    Pro-veganista?

    Obviously an alien then.

I don’t know about you, but I am appalled by cruel and heartless, unsportsmanlike slaughter of veggiekind by the vegans.

Did you know vegetarians and vegans typically eat their prey alive? Ever notice how onions and potatoes and lots of other veggies keep growing once you pick them, and even after you brutally cut them up in pieces? If they are growing, they are still alive, and the evil veggie-vegans eat them that way!

Further, when you hunt animals, they can at least run away and attempt to flee. When was the last time you saw a potato or cornstalk try to run away? They can’t! The poor things just stand there, stuck in the ground, waiting in terror at the approaching farmer (murderer) who wants to pluck them from their home and feed them alive to some crazed vegetarian.

I’m sorry, but if you are an intelligent being, and insist on ‘eating’ the only sportsmanlike thing to do is to eat other intelligent beings who are capable of escaping you, outwitting you or even eating you back.

In fact, if you go out for dinner and their isn’t at least a 50/50 chance that you’ll be the dinner rather than the diner, then you are cheating and being unsportsmanlike!

    Uhm,

I try very hard to not judge people by their appearance, but to be fair to Hrothgar–complete douchebag-asshole that he was–I seriously doubt he slept with Grendel’s mother. Again, not to cast aspersions, but she looked nothing like Angelina Jolie, not even an animated one.

I won’t say she was ugly (not sure that word would do her justice), in hindsight I suspect she had some Denubian blood….however, she had an amazing and incredible personality!

And as pissed off as Grendel was, I sort of think he’d have mentioned that little tidbit.

I think you’ll find that you’re forgetting about a whole litany of super stomach creatures, like Eborsisks, The Giant Dune worms of Arakkis, The Molbol, And various swamp-based creatures.

Also you might be overrating our slimey friend here’s power and ability.

Quite well written, good logic flow and lots of mass destruction and obliteration of Red Bio-thermals and Green to Red Bio-thermals.

    4 thumbs up!

I’ve bought every monthly bundle since 1999, except for January 2013. There was some switch of terms at Amazon, and that’s when Baen had to stop selling bundles after release date. I missed that one month. I’ve supported Baen because they really were on the forefront of ebooks. The ebooks on their site have always been DRM free in multiple formats. I heard their royalties to authors were higher on ebooks than print books, as well, though that could have just been a rumor.

For the same reasons, I buy a lot of indie author books, as well as subscribe to Kindle Unlimited. Well, that, and it’s the only way I can afford my reading habit. =p~

My problem with Aer-ki Jyr is that he goes a bit nuts with Pro-veganism and gets Way Way WAYyyyyyy too in depth with everything and drags on too much with it, like, down to the most mediocre of Minutae, But not the minutae involved with character development. It’s also just a tad bit Sterilized, for younger audiences possibly.

So, so many good stories in this genre as well.

Like David Weber’s Honor Harrington series. First book “On Basilisk Station” is free on Amazon right now.

I also recommend most of the previous recommendations.
