So the reason why Hilda’s links to her illuminaries broke regardless of where she was (material or outer plane) was because they were SITO-O even though it was a mortal-immortal link rather than a direct connection to Tierhallon? In short the links inherited or were contaminated by her SITO and so they mimic it?

Well, the accords seem to be between the conclave and the Courts. Any organization not of the courts isn’t really a signatory so… Tom could (in theory) go to the Outer Planes w/o being in violation. Not that the gods would care.

Sentir Fallon however is a violator. He went to the Abyss w/o permission when he hid the rod and when he went to talk to Lilith. Not that she’ll turn him in unless it gives her an advantage.

Stainsberry and Thrinav are in the middle of a fight, on the ground, surrounded by enemies, and they have a discourse on the nature of reality??

In this case the resistance of the meteor, with all its momentum had dragged he and Mufasa down to the ground with itself.

    he –> him

“Well met Stainsberry! Great fun is a foot!” The dwarf chuckled.

    a foot –> afoot

“His mount’s wide eyed expression of surprise caused him to turn his own head to see what was coming at them.”

If he is seated on its back, and given the presumed anatomy of a winged lion, how did he see it’s expression of surprise?

“Non-animus imbued objects”… do you mean “objects lacking animus” or “animus-less”? How is something “imbued” with a non-animus? What is non-animus?

    More head shaking? Tsk.

Does this mean that the link to a saint is established by a mortal linking themselves to a reliquary? If so, how are mortal links maintained to saints once the connection to the reliquary is cut?

If the biomass per volume unit of a wizard is less than the equivalent volume of bacteria wouldn’t that mean that the bacteria requires more energy for life than wizards?

Of course we’re discounting the chaos/law aspect of things and how well it allows animus/mana to be freely accessed. More chaos = longer life generally speaking and bacteria seem to be pretty orderly so perhaps the extraction ratio of processed bacteria vs. processed elf (blended elf shakes? ewwww…) is not that great.

Also, sentience gives a mana boost and sapience even more. Bateria is neither sapient nor sentient so it given equal biomass (but I acknowledge not equal volume) bacteria creates less mana than a wizard (elf, human, orc, or otherwise).

Ah, but The older demons may have been formed by other means. All we really know is that modern demons are most likely from the modern spell. Maybe older demons were created by other means.

“Well then,” Soo Van said, “it appears we have much to discuss.” She looked to Lob Smasher, “By the honor of the Crooked Sticks, do you swear that this visit shall be peaceful?”

These are orcs with D’Orcs accompanying them and they dared to the use the p-word. Peace? Seems like it would be Orcish to swear by the rules of hospitality / guesting / passage or some such than be peaceful even if the end result is the same.

    taught vs taut

    discrete vs discreet

    canon vs cannon

    wonder vs wander

    numerus vs numerous

    prey vs pray

    rod vs Rod

Here everything his hydroponics. –> is hydroponics

“Awww!” Tal Gor screamed as –> Awww! sounds like someone seeing a cute kitten. Argh! Owww! Garrgh! work better.

And how man alvar were judged sufficient –> how many

“He said he pursued and archdemon into the Abyss.” –> an archdemon
Also, in bk2 there was a lot of shifting between archdemon and achaedemon or some such. I didn’t see that in this book.

I know you are addressing Talarius’s venture to Nysegard when he first discovers the portal, but you also have this line:

however, Tom was not going to risk the knight returning to the Planes of Man and contacting Tiernon.

If Tom wasn’t going to risk then presumably he’d do SOMETHING thus requiring Talarius to sneak. Of course Tom would be a bit worried when he finds Talarius on Nysegard, but I presume he would accept it as a done deal, too late fix, worry when something comes of it. Might want to throw something regarding this into a later chapter.
Excellent questions, very helpful. I am going to need to think on this to provide some better detail, both for you and myself.

When you do give the information what conflicts you wanted could you also give the synopsis for the book? In addition to providing feedback on the telling of those conflicts I can also give feedback on well it supports the book’s synopsis.

Looking at the pacing and it seems that given the length of Alpha 2 vs Alpha 0 you seem to have reached the 90% complete marker, so half of the missing text from Alpha 0 has been added?

I’m asking because while the numbers seem to be that pacing on Nysegard vs. Alpha 0 has taken a tangent to the Grove. I’m not saying that it is out of place, but given all that needs to happen I’m wondering if there is still quite a bit to go or whether is being rushed given the length of the text and the limits on an eventually print version.

tl;dr: how much is left to add?
