Finally finished a crappy dark high fantasy book *shudder* and am finally getting around to reading the new beta. This post will just be my duping ground for thoughts I have.

My immediate one, being as Sam has the first chapter of the book, where are his minions man! Sam’s supposed to have all sorts of power and lilith is his consort! Has he ever talked to them where the reader can see ’em?

Also does he manipulate any humans in astlan and it’s localverse to fight the God?

Oh guess he’s shut off from that local verse.

So in lesteroth’s pov in chap 1 the D’Orcs surround them. Do they push them into the mountain? Because Tom says he will open a chamber but they are standing out in the open?

Is the reference to the four lands from a book I haven’t read?

“If I had to, I could, for example, get by in the Four Lands.”
    Said by ragala-nargoloth

Have not read those books but mtv *ugh*

Googled four lands but just wasn’t sure. Ok. Should I read them?

“My warriors will open a corridor behind you. You have my word that if you enter that corridor, you may return to Lilith and report your failure,” the demon lord stated”

How can Tom’s peeps open a corridor when they are standing out in the open?

Ok so then right before the swearing in Tom goes to astlan here:

He had checked on Vaselle and the rest of his people in Astlan shortly before swearing in the new recruits and shown them the balling of the battle over their campfire. They were camping outside of Murgatroy to avoid having to stable Schwarzenfürze in the wargtown and cause further problems.

    But in this scene:

Edwyrd shrugged. “Sounds good—wait.” Edwyrd glanced to the crystal ball. Would it be possible for me to borrow your ball for a few hours? I would like to show everyone who missed the battle what happened.”

Tom/Edwyrd asks to show them the bailing again.

Would it make more sense to have this bit be Edwyrd returning the balling he had borrowed before?

Plus the emotional high of finding out Tommus is a step brother to Orcus !

And then have it come crashing down when he runs into a certain half-orc who knows him 🙂

We know what color Rupert was, he showed up when Talarius looked at him in his tent. The 3 arch demons are Exador, Ramses, and Tom, because Bess in her demon guise didn’t show up yet, it was only exador and Ramses the night Talarius used the mirror. Rupert was considered greater demon level.

2 important question, do the SL know Exador and Ramses are demons?

When Hilda and Co steel war arrow did she pick up all of Talarius’ stuff? There was that whole first ruiden scene where he destroys the tent, but Talarius still had lots of other magic stuff in there.

Meaning did he also get the mirror?

If this is still Triggering political stuff, I’m usually not interested in it, and not a trump supporter, but I thought this video was amusing.

It seems lilith and Sam have (probably) both Phoenixed, but their original myth being Adam and eve, says they never leave Eden.

Yup if they don’t care for the gods of law why wouldn’t they mention in some way with some proof that the 5s looked up their Dad and Mom with Orcus to the other pantheons as a war for the gods of law.

Essentially tell Zeus or who ever cares that the 5s did something to incite war?

Hmm maybe they want to keep it personal.

So in bk1 Rupert changed into his true (demon) form and was flying around freehold. He then flew over the Rod camp, and was shot down by Talarius.

He shape changed into the human Rupert, and went into the Rod camp, where the next morning he was found out by meeting the high priest Verigas, the second time. Rupert then tries to escape by transforming back into a demon, but Talarius cuts his head off and the Rod people get paranoid about other hidden demons.

They tell only 1 councillor, that being Damien, which is how he found out the animage human Edwyrd is Tom.

Anyways (ill edit this after I found it) Hilda and trisfelt were in some time in bk2 discussing something and Rupert being both a student and hidden Demon came as a topic. If I remember it was Hilda’s man servant Danyl that brought up Rupert being a demon masquerading as a human.
Trisfelt would feel Jenn out and try to see if she has noticed anything strange about Rupert. At which she would lament and complain to Trisfelt about this stupid obsession with demons that Rupert has and how Edwyrd is dragging him everywhere and getting involved with a greater demon.
Also Trisfelt works for Lenamare, and he said he wouldn’t mention his suspicion to him. (About rupert)

If I remember correctly, it wasn’t that the greater demons name was Rupert, but that the demon was masquerading as a human boy named Rupert, was found out, changed into a greater demon, then Talarius chopped its head off.

They could understand having “eyes and ears” for info. Not like he’s being a diplomat or lawyer.
