MemberBy the way, the word “fierd” was among one of the things that first hooked me on these books, especially as it was used as a synonym for sun without any warning. It was an implicit promise that I wouldn’t be treated like a moron.

MemberOf course, on Nysegard, every kid gets a set of building blocks designed to get them thinking about counter-Unlife strategies and tactics at an early age, and even four-year-olds easily surpass these simple concepts.
The objective of the agility track is to magnify the advantages humans have over zombies, and magnify the disadvantages zombies have compared to humans.
For Earth-based anti-zombie compounds, they are a set of thigh-high stakes hammered in the ground form a large grid of 3m x 3m squares. The stakes are connected to each other with multiple tiers of tensioned steel wire, and on top of the stakes goes a plank highway leading towards safety.
It’s all about reducing the risk severity gradient. Zombies can slowly topple over each grid wall, losing some flesh each time, while humans can simply walk through. If a human makes a mistake and falls, rectifying that is very simple. All of the poles support each other, so large numbers of zombies can’t easily break the protection. Everything is easily repairable. If you run out of steel wire, you can modify the design with wood.
you think it’s bad at 50? Try being 500,000…which in fact is something that gets brought up (again) in the immediate aftermath of the wedding party
My point was that Edwyrd hadn’t previously established a pattern of ad-hoc speaking in sentences containing quite so many commas. That’s a habit that forms through the daily communication of complex ideas over several years, which wasn’t Edward’s world, assuming that his cover story of being 17 is actually valid.

Member
Yes. I don’t see those as major characters though, and I am thinking of having an appendix listing who all the avatars are and who they work for.
But does the reader know, at that point, who is going to be a major character and who’s not?
It’s too bad that you can’t give them red shirts, or something.Mikey

Painting? Isn’t it a mirror?

That might be a large part of why it was picked up for TV – it certainly makes salary negotiations a lot simpler.Mikey

MemberIf Talarius isn’t ready to become Mount Doom’s first blackjack dealer after his nervous breakdown, perhaps he’d enjoy being fashioned into a magical superweapon like his buddy?

The advance / advanced distinction might be a bit too fine, given that it’s not the norm in the text.
Hilda walked over to them, gesturing for them to arise. They both shakenly did, staring at her in awe and wonder. “I’m so sorry for the theatrics.” She shook her head. “I know it’s totally overkill on the pyrotechnics, but it comes with the territory a fear.”
I fear?

Or a mental disgreement with Ruiden? It’s really not clear.
Well, Logoi is a decent kid, most of the tie.
Time? And isn’t Logoi plural? Do you mean Aletheia and/or Pistis? All in all, really good shit. But you’re introducing a LOT of characters in this book, and especially at the very end.

MemberNow that my fancy new no-battery smoke detector decided to demonstrate the concept of a false positive to me at 5 AM, I’m totally ready for a new alpha.
Of course, I can just spend my weekend learning Angular 2 and TypeScript, if it’s not ready yet.
