I think he’s thinking the other way where humans, elves and dwarves band together to oppress the poor orcs, goblins, trolls, ogres etc.

Then there is Katherine Kurtz where humans try to kill Deryni and a whole host of similar things with alien races in SF.

I suppose if you want to go literally, you could take into account Vampires & Werewolves banding together to kill humans…

Of course, that’s just a good idea in general….

Yes, look at how all the wizards have bound together to fight and enslave the demons.

That’s the perfect example of the evil guys banding together to oppress the good guys!

Well, working out certainly enhances any skill, and practice is important for anyone.

But if you are talking body building? Not sure how many have tried. For those powerful enough, shapechanging is easier, for those not powerful enough, they might be able to build muscle/thin down, but as soon as they were summoned again, people expecting them to look like a fat slob would see a fat slob.

So it’s a question of whether you are working out a skill/ability or literally trying to reshape your body. Practice helps, body building is problematic as described early on in Book 1 with any changing of shape.

Not in my experience, the only time this group will thing really makes a big difference is during the construction of the mana body and this is correlated to it’s ability to hold mana/animus.

There have been a lot of groups that have severely wished for a demon lord to wither away and die, but they don’t. If they notice, they usually in fact get ticked off and start slaughtering said individuals.

Now…on the other hand…gods do seem subject to this affect…in that their power is directly related to how many worshipers they have.

I have no evidence that this affects them directly/personally, but their relative power on a given plane is dependent on the number of worshipers and their belief.

For example, I have seen instances where on one plane a particular deity is a major god, but on other planes he/she is a minor god.

Not sure how this works, at all.

Yes, I think it is something like that. As we see in Book 2, priests etc are called illuminaries…avatars have illuminaries that feed them mana they harvest from worshipers etc. Illuminaries are like pipes, the more pipes you have on a plane, the more mana you have locally to draw on without having to pull it from distant places.

I’m thinking it has to basically be a logistics problem, i.e. a mana supply line/train etc.

I see your point, the edit/delete buttons went off the side too.

Hmm, if I can figure out how to delete it, should I just delete it?

One does have to contort a lot to squeeze through a flaming hole between planes.

However, it’s also a function of where you put the bones and bend points.

Yes, a completely unexpected bonus (if he was a virgin) and not necessary.

However, I am not sure that the sheep and goats that the original tribes sacrificed were virgins.

It’s just always struck me that a religion based on a human sacrifice and ritualized cannibalism is considered “the good guys”

That doesn’t leave me much room to get darker and creepier when I start my own “Evil” religion.

Yes, you are listed in the forums.

The list hasn’t been built yet, T-A-G will construct the first list off of people’s messages in these forums. Once created, they will get an email to confirm they are still interested and then depending on the number, will open it up for new/more people.

You receive an email with a runic spell engraved in it.

It causes your keys to grow sharp edges, cutting your fingers as you type and sucking the blood into the computer to be digitized and sent as an attachment in your reply.

I don’t get to collect your soul until you die. So no real conflict with the Army.

Well, so far the most common thing is to be having an out of body experience and run into a wizard or two on the astral plane.

Timing seems to be a big issue, those wizards aren’t that predictable.

Which is why i’m working on my own plans to raise a demon army…still working out the details…

I’m calling it “The Rapture” it’s going to be a mass vacuuming of souls from the planes of men into the Abyss as demons.

I’ve been working on it for a century or two now. My concern is that someone might leak my plans…

I’ve also heard some rumors that some people may have gotten a bit mixed up about where they’re going when I rapture them but…hey it’ll be a pleasant surprise…I’m sure.

We’ve been here forever, we are eternal and undying…actually we just sort of cycle through big bangs…

There’s a lot of history…but humans are extremely fertile. However, there are other races in Astlan, this particular story just seems to center on humans.

The same with the map…it was made by humans, they don’t have good maps of non-human population settings…other than Jutungard…but it’s pretty hard to miss the cities and halls there…they sort of stick out…

Well, I’ve heard rumors from GastropĂȘ that he, Jenn, Elrose and Maelen are having to deal with several non-human races in Book II.
