Are previous beta demons good to go or do we need to opt in again?

In chapter 143 Sentir seems caught unprepared for when the Stormlords throw up the interdiction, but back in chapter 139 he informs Lilith and Aodh that the SL are trying to recreate the interdiction. Just seems like he should have been more prepared, or less surprised.

For some reason i cant cut and paste out of either pdf, 1a about half the words wont highlight or copy over.

Page 276 Talarius and Stainsberry discussing how to make a demon, last line of the conversation/section Stainsberry switches with Hilda. Imagine Hilda passing a joint along with the wine at the next metting. [biggrin]

Clarification: When Vaselle notices it getting darker because of the storm clouds moving in that are darker than the normal rain clouds, wouldnt it just be the normal Doom clouds getting amped up in place rather than new ones cominig in? Throw gas on a fire, its not a new hotter, brighter fire moving in.

Spectre’s anthem, Final Countdown by Europe. Ringo’s books are always full of insane little moments like that.

Wonder if Orcus had something similar for his shamans and warlocks.

Actually it was a joke based on the books GameGraphix mentioned, Looking Glass series by John Ringo, scheduling an astrophysics survey was basically taunting murphy’s law. Chaos and hilarity usually ensued, everything from random changes in the orientation of artificial gravity to tasting the color yellow.

They so needed the doomboxes playing “highway to hell” at Karth’s D’orcing. I can imagine Talarius’ reaction to the song.

He could have given the SL time to prep, his talk with Ramses was about doing it as a surprise/escape for him and Ramses without warning the SL.

I can only imagine Beragamos asking Tom to help. Something like the end of Hunt for Red October “your telling me you’ve lost another submarine”.

As the one who stuck the knife in him, Sentir should also recognize him. That makes me lean towards the idea that they think maybe imposter working off a good description. Tiernon and Torean have the similarity of his behavior, and Rupert’s presence to help the recognition. They could later blame the younger friendlier appearance on Orcus trying to throw them off just enough to achieve his goals.

They worked with one famous necromancer, and that obviously would put a bad taste in their mouth, but it is currently written like that was a surprise that he was a necro. Maybe Middle Earth makes strange bedfellows for the FOE.

Dante, Heron, Cranshall, and Barabus are discussing the Infernos’ abyssal gateway capabilities, Barabus asks about the aether and the other 3 dont know what it is. In book 2 when Dante reveals the Inferno he says “Behold the vessel that shall allow us to extend the law to all parts of the multiverse! In air, water, fire, vacuum and aether!”

I think sticking to the established style of ending after the last big bad is down and the remainder are staring stunned is best. Sort of like a literary mic drop. I understand if you did that for space in previous books, but I’ve gotten used to it , it has grown on me, save the smooth clean up of the details for the last book.

I was re-reading chapter 123 , specifically the first conversation between Tiernon and Torean. I’m assuming that Torean was fully present for Hilda’s meeting, including watching the balling, even if he hadnt physically manifested, and had probably watched the balling before then as well. I was wondering why neither god commented on Tom looking so much like Orcus, and also Rupert, assuming Dis’ demon form was also similar since the human form was. They should also maybe connect Tom stealing a miracle, and Lord Tommus having the mana to relight doom, all knowledge Hilda has collected. While she dosen’t have the experience with Orcus to connect the appearance, she has been on the ball enough to maybe catch the name/mana connection. I dont know if she learned about the prophecy in Murgatroy either, or could have.

He could show up just to be Tom’s eyes and ears in the command center, literally.
