Which brings up a point I mentioned a while back.
Humans are just really fragile, too easy to break. They wear out too fast. Plus they start blubbering “my arm, my arm, you ripped off my arm!!!!” Sheesh, cry baby!
Thus demons are much better lovers, across the board.

I am sure it would be very bad manners.
I really don’t know as I’ve only been the recipient of said power. I would think a conjuror would know. They summon other things than just demons…including animals. They usually refer to themselves as Summoners then, but it’s basically the same school of wizardry. Maybe some thaumaturgy mixed in.

yeah…there is meant to be some ambiguity in what mirror said…there are also questions…somewhere…about is Bess there and if so is she a blue?
If he really is an arch demon he could probably break the spell, or at least ignore Lenamare’s summons.
It really comes down to that spectrum of what a 4 is vs a 5 and skill, power, knowledge, luck etc.
A wizard might get lucky with a higher level demon and “one time” have a lower level spell work, if that higher level demon is weakened/tired/worn out, or depressed or stupid or just off their game.
What is pretty clear, and this isn’t really a spoiler is that given what Tom did out in the field, Lenamare (who will see the crystal balling) will not want to take the risk of summoning Tom for some time, if ever again, or at least not until really needed.
It is simply not worth the risk. However, the assumption is/will be among the Astlan crowd is that Tom was faking his status the entire time. That is the simplest explanation.
Sure…I’ll have an official sign up as it gets closer, but logging it here is a good reminder if the list starts getting full. And I have no idea how full is/will be.

So normally, I’d say human error could play a big role as well.
Except that this is Talarius afterall, and things like archdemons sort of really get his attention and he’s not likely to miss out on much….
That is how most power couples work in the Abyss….you will note it sort of works that way with a lot of Gods as well.
And those that do have long marriages often have infidelity issues, won’t mention any names but a guy with a stormy temper that lives on top of a mountain comes to mind….
Well…I point out that Exador snuck in, for a really long time, Ramses did it for a couple generations and several other demons in the past ran around posing as humans…
Capturing demonic textures is particularly difficult…lighting in the Abyss is pretty crappy and everything appears flat and red…
Not all vehicles. yes they understood aerodynamics even in the 30’s and 40’s and frankly race cars from the turn of the century were shaped like cigars.
But cars were often not very aerodynamic by today’s standards. Ever seen old Jeeps? Old Cadillacs? Compare them to the same models today.
I’m not saying that a demon can become a god. I have no idea how to do that, but there is a huge quantum jump in energy between a demon or an avatar and a god. One presumes their might be a continuum.
Anyway, gods need worshipers and draw their mana that way. I don’t know what a god without worshipers would be. Or if it would be a god.
If no one believes in a god, does it die?
Aerodynamics: yes, old cadillacs are what I am talking about, giant square boats. I think we are arguing about what we agree on…I’m a demon, that’s what I do.
Of course, for total non-aerodynamic you have to go 60’s to 70’s Lincoln Continental with “Suicide Doors”

That’s a good question.
You see the site was attacked by an evil trojan thing that kept signing people up and creating fake profiles for them.
They had some way to bypass the Captcha! control (the type the squiggly words thing) so a whole bunch of people signed up against their will!
Of the hundred plus fake accounts (which had real email addresses) one person did write me asking to be removed…which I actually had already done.
None of the fake accounts could logon, of course because the trojan couldn’t answer the email verification, so it was just registration spam.
I deleted a tone of them, but there may still be some fake addresses, and it’s against demon ethics to accept souls on false principles (at least false principles not of the demon’s devising).
So, technically we passed the quota, but had to delete those users and I’ve left the last round in the system, in case any were real people.
Once they go so long without actually being verified I’ll remove them and have a better count. Actually, we patched the captcha thing a week or more ago, so I should be able to clean up now and get a count.
I don’t know, actually.
I could go check on them, but I’m trapped in the Abyss at the moment with Tom, Rupert, Talarius and Antefalken.
I’d need someone to summon me.
I’m thinking they might have experienced some fall out afterwards as well.
Maybe that would be a good short story for the Author to write and post in the meantime.
