The questions that does Pop up after reading this.

Did the O’s talk with the T’s?
Do the T’s suspect Edwyrd as well and will the T’s talk with the Freehold Wizards about that, if they know?
If the T’s suspect, how was it not found out by the investigation at some point?

If the O’s did not talk about their suspicions with the T’s, what do the T’s think about the reasoning of the O’s for storming the Abyss?

Then of course, there are the three Arch Demons trying to steal a book that Lenamare, Tom’s Accursed Master, stole from Oorstemoth; and whose demon horde had been infesting the wizard city of Freehold. Thanks to Tom’s secret identity as the Animage Edwyrd, their demons were driven from the city and now they are locked outside the city, unable to get their hands on the book they need to seize power in the Abyss.
How about, something like:
Then of course, there are the three Arch Demons still trying to steal the book from Lenamare. Who evicted their hordes of demons out of Freehold. Their plans beginning to unravel, what will they try next?
So I plan to restrict them to their mercenary portfolio, if you will. People call them in to bring about change and chaos; typically with quite a sacrifice. But again they are a two edge sword.
If they are bought, will they be keep bought? Otherwise as agents of change and chaos, I see them as natural allies for Tom.
Lillith is representing the old and crusty establishment here. :-k

With the above mentioned changes and an hiring scene, I think we will have enough information for them to keep them included.
If you going forward and include the battle you could start the next book before book 2 ends, with occationals references where the battle is time wise?

    Edit:
The same could actually be said with Asmeth and the Rogues. You could have just introduced them in a much more concisely than giving all those leghtly details that we ends up uninterested in, especially when they aren’t particularly interesting in the first place.
Those were already deleted in Beta 2.
I am actually suggesting in reducing the book’s lenght since Beta 1, but I guess I should have been more detailed there.
Well if reducing the book takes as long as adding the battle to it, I’m all for the battle.
We just hope that this would go well in the market. It is, after all, the final arbiter of the product.
Yes, so my vote is for an big battle at the end!
Here is another try:

On the whole, I like this Version. Only unshure about the quoted part.

Is Lenamare still Tom’s accursed master? Shure the Link is still there, but first Lenamare is too afraid to summon him and second if he tried… could he controll the new Tommus?

While Tom was instrumental in bringing the Wizards attention to the demon infestation. I’m not shure if the Archdemons know about the Edwyrd – Tom Connection

Finally and more important, the Archdemons are not shown hostile in the direction of Tom. More like, how did he do that, how can I bring him to tell me how he did it…

Actually, I say businessorc like businessman. This is one of those contractions that happens when a term is very common.

I suppose technically I should say business orc if my reference point is human/someone unfamiliar with orcs.

Whereas if my perspective is that of an orc, I could say businessorc.

This is from the human perspective so business orc should be correct.
Yeah, wasn’t shure about that one.
And I figured the hir out, after posting :-k
Now: Why is everyone so freaked out by my pipe? The answer is actually quite simple, when you think about it. Tom eventually figures it out. But it’s not “conjuration” as in it was someplace else and then teleports to my hand. Nope.
Another possibility would be, you are hiding it inside your body. That would mean you are able to shapechange.
I think Tom would have noticed if you did hide it without shapechanging, ie you pulling the pipe out of your a… .

And btw, since I’m a demon already, I can’t fork over my soul, because my immortal soul is me….I’m just a soul with a mana shield with some “dirt” stuck to it.
Hmm, could an necromancer eat/consume your (a demons) soul/animus?

No demon in their right mind would believe Tom is only a few weeks old.
It’s as inconceivable as Demons being “Good”
The second sentence is also from an Demon perspective?
Because why would Demons think a Demon could not be good?

The constant torture and long live will condition Demons to hate humans.
But a young one who is powerfull enough to not get tortured…
