I have not seen shameless but from reading the wiki page it sounds depressing.

Yes, that was a typo. I meant Ramses place, but typed Exador’s palace.
so just read the thing again knowing I meant Ramses palace but mistyped.
Correct: Exador doesn’t spend much time in the Abyss, this comes up in Book 2, as does his Penthouse in the Courts.
His main domicile is in Astlan and has been for well over a thousand years…he may have other places for his miniions but this has never been mentioned. There is lots of talk of his human minions but not much about his demon ones, yet we know he has them, they were living in the Council Palace for a while, where they went “home to” is an interesting question. Presumably not his castle in Astlan as his humans would freak out.
@Madfoxii
I am also rooting for me to be the Overlord of the Abyss. I’m just not sure how I’m going to know if I am. I’m thinking if I start a rumor about it, maybe in a few thousand years it will become accepted knowledge and I’ll just be the defacto “secret” overlord of the abyss.
Maybe then I can get some demonesses to sleep with me.

I had a nice long reply written up but my iPad dumped it after changing tabs. 🙁
JMXMember

I may have used google translator to translate the last two books of a 3 part series from Russian to English because only the first book was published in the US.
I hate waiting.. Lol
Someone else who has read alexey glushanovsky’s books?
Those were great. The ending was a bit confusing though.
Yeah it was Alexey’s books.
The ending was confusing but I probably missed a bit of the finer points because of google translate.
I was really annoyed when I found out the series had been completed 10 or so years ago but they only translated the first book.

OK, now that’s hardcore.I use GT a lot for short phrases and a few news articles where context isn’t so critical….but a novel? Not so sure.
Actually it’s interesting that there are plenty of “Editing Services” out there for independent authors but there aren’t or I have really found a lot of translation services. My guess is that while an author can easily tell if the editor improved the editing/content of their book, they probably have no idea if it was well translated.

Yes I was able to get the main story by using google translate but I agree it was missing a lot of context. It was also interesting reading a book from a Russian Author. If they ever translate the last two books professionally I would buy them.
I enjoyed those books even if it was a hard read. On the flip side I have bought Ebooks off amazon that I had to stop reading because they are so badly written/story just being so poor. I can ignore a ton of spelling and grammar errors as long as it doesn’t interfere with the story telling.
In regards to translating I guess the author would either have to be bilingual or at least know someone they trusted. A translator really could mess up the story if the author couldn’t even proof read it.
However I am just a reader so I just want things done so I can read it haha.
As far as into the abyss I think it is the only book I have ever read more then once. In fact I have thought about reading it a third time but that might be unhealthy. I should at least wait until right before the release of book two.
JMXMemberNeat, I am impatiently waiting on t he next book.
JMXMember
One wonders if a Demon ever tried to sue an Accursed Master in Oorstermoth: I
Well since they want to serve warrants into the abyss that would imply demons could attend and/or take part in court.
I hate to imagine their court processes though. I like to think that after the first 5mins suicide starts to look mighty tempting.
JMXMemberTime is an illusion.
JMXMemberI sold my soul for the last beta. I am willing to offer someone else’s soul for this beta!
JMXMember

I am looking forward to Exador’s reaction along with Beth and Ramses. Mainly their shock from the fight maybe something along the lines of “a lvl4 demon can’t do that.”
It will also be interesting seeing everyone’s else’s reaction since the fight was recorded.
Lastly I want to see if Tom changes any from stealing the gods mana near the end of the fight.
This, especially the commentary by the arch demons after Tom hops away. We get it in between, but I am really curious whether or not what Tom did was truly unique or just something archfiends don’t do because of some ancient unspoken accord between demons and deities…
Note that I have the suspicion the book contains the true names of one or more archdemons if not the upper echolon ones.
I venture to say it’s not something that can normally be done. Tom was only able to do it by using the blessed arrow heads but no one else knows that. They will just see it as Tom using pure power to steal from a god/over come a circle of priests.
As far as the book I would bet it’s more then just names. The Wizards already state you don’t control archdemons you get roasted by them. This would imply even knowing a name to summon is not enough to control higher level demons just based on a power stand point. Of course Exador states that if someone had opened the book they would already be taking over the abyss so still has to be something along those lines.
Also waiting sucks.
JMXMemberI think Wot has been finished. I made it further but yeah at this point I would have to retread the whole series.
JMXMember
Excellent…
We are most grateful your T-Rex majesty!
Hey anybody out there ever have roast dinosaur?…oops…that was a spoiler from book ii…(it really is–I didn’t realize it until after I typed the joke)

🙂
JMXMemberThis is true. Maybe could make it a fun show similar to “blue mountain state” series but with a demonic twist.
I shall sip on my whiskey and ponder this dilemma.
Questions: (may have already been covered)
why did tizzy sell demonic weed to toms friend?
I think rupert is toms half brother it ties In nicely with them looking alike. Since it has been stated no time travel by TAG. Also the fact that the weed Tom smoked only affected him and not his friends as stated in the beginning of the book.
I am very patient except when I have to wait.
JMXMemberI just finished the book and I think having to cut back due to word count hurt. I do not mind the fluff in fact I think it adds to the story but book 2 really feels like a bridge book as you put it. It feels like right when things start to really get interesting along the main story arc it stops.
Mainly I feel book 2 isn’t long enough to support the side stories even though they will be important as the story progresses. I have more but I don’t want to type it all out on this iPad. Plenty of things I liked as well.
So currently I am still happy with it but I am going to reread it before giving a final review. I spent time I should have been sleeping reading.
JMXMemberIt’s a demon trick! 😮
Well played tizzy…well played.
I bet it takes some work to set up a secure download so hopefully it’s up tomorrow.
JMXMemberAlso can we preorder Or pay when we start the beta?
