I am not sure I am following you.

It was very clear to me, when in Freehold, this Gastrope’ fellow had a bound demon named Tizzy, a very annoying creature.

Why on Astlan would one think that an annoying and devious creature like that octapodal demon would purposefully want to be a demon slave?

No clearly this Gastrope’ fellow used a very old school binding on this demon. I have to admit, that I am puzzled by how this rather, vapid, conjuror could manage such a classic, and rather complex spell.

That being said, I do have to give him some respect for it. Rest assured it was no simple familiar spell, it was a very complex binding that has not actually been used in centuries. For someone of Tizzy’s minor significance, we have far simpler spells that would work. In fact, I would argue, that wasting such a beautiful work of conjury on such a minor demon shows a strong lack of discipline on Gastrope’s part.

    Well tiddly do for you.

I have done the same and it’s not working!

I have decided that Gravatar is run by demons. It is now very clear to me.

As noted earlier, T-A-G and Wylan got their gravatar avatars to work easily; mine refused to work. I just got the gravatar logo.

Turns out the gravatar demons are case sensitive. My email on this site was Lenamare at astlan dot net; at gravatar it was lenamare at astlan dot net

On a whim, I changed the capitalization of my name in my email address here, and voila, the demons at gravatar finally got around to doing my bidding.

](*,) So typical of demons. If I had realized I was dealing with demons, then, obviously, this would have been the first thing I would have checked.

I guess after the whole Exador thing, I should not be surprised that demons are running around all over the place pretending to be human.

Oh, these vile and treacherous creatures, they tax me, they truly tax me!

If you lost mine, I will be very displeased. That image was especially created for me, and is my property.

I am displeased. My image is missing, you are depriving people of my stern countenance!

    Repair this immediately!

Since the most interesting possibility for Book 3 will be me vs Exador, that will be the logical choice and since it will be Council Member vs Council Member, I suggest:

in reply to: Tom’s power level #2899

    OK,

I know you all think Exadork is an Arch Demon, but I’ve known that purple armored pompous over inflated gasbag nearly my entire life.
I have sat across the council table from him, argued with him, and triumphed over him on so many occasions, I can no longer count them all.

I have a hard time seriously believing he’s an Arch Demon or even a demon.

Yes, he flew the coop at the same time my wards went up, but I am sure this was just a stunt on his part. The council was about to rule in my favor and he’s trying to get them to second guess themselves

“Oh my, Exador’s an Arch Demon, we wouldn’t want to rule against him or he might get mad and bring a demon army against us!”

Of all the cheap, easy to pull off, theatrical tricks, this is so blatantly obvious, and so like him. He can’t defeat me at wizardry, nor before legal courts nor the council, so he’s trying scare tactics, jury intimidation, whatever you want to call it.

Believe me when I say that I have studied and analyzed this ego maniac probably more than anyone on the planet. The probability of him actually being a demon lord is very small, say 5% to 10% max.

    Lenamare.

I find it rather bemusing that anyone would even bring up the word “failure” in a forum topic I have graced with my commentary.

I have no patience for failure, failure is not an option to be discussed.

    Now to correct the record:
Success leads to genius and failure leads to insanity.
Correctly stated:

Genius leads to Success; Failure leads to Obscurity and Irrelevance.

History is a very harsh mistress and it is determined by the successful.

I suppose, should I wax philosophical, I might point out that the only thing good about that word, “failure” is that, eventually people who fail are forgotten by history and so no one remembers that one failed. In fact, they simply forget that the person who failed ever existed.

If that is not Existential Justice, then I don’t know what is.
it is Tizzy who says that demons are slothful. If he says it, then it is fact, I guess.
If Tizzy says it, it is fact?

Have you lost your mind? #-o

    Tizzy is a DEMON.

    That means at a minimum:

    1) he is a liar
    2) he is evil
    3) he is is trying to trick you and manipulate you for his own purposes
    4) he can’t be trusted

Add to that, that even other demons think he is INSANE

Everyone that meets him thinks he’s batty, crazy, multiple screws loose. hallucinatory, derranged!

Why on Astlan would you even think of listening to this vile creature, let alone believe him?

I find you to be somewhat confused, Mr. Suggestion.

You seem to have confused wizards with priests. Although not all priests have pointy hats. Very few wizards do, other than Trisfelt.

I understand, as an ill-informed member of the general public you may have confused the various types of mana users, priests and wizards.

Because, quite frankly other than the use of the wrong word, Wizard, you do completely get the idea of what a priest and other sorts of clerics are about.

I should also point out that you are wise to not trust anything that Tizzy creature says. Clearly a very irritating imbecile, I suspect he’s been able to run around freely so much because no self respecting Demon Master could put up with his annoying blather for any significant length of time.

So, in short, let me assure you that I, Lenamare, being a truly gifted Conjuror, if I do say so myself, which I do, but then so does everyone that knows me…can provide you with any and all information you need.

I am working on some more treatises and will be posting them to the library in the coming week or so.

Rest assured this information shall indubitably satisfy your thirst for knowledge on these despicable beings.

    Yours truly,

    Lenamare The Great.

    Hi,

The Council of Wizardry is happy to announce that the new map of Astlan that it commissioned so that it could figure out where to send it’s expedition to resolve the “Angry Gods and Demons Issue” have arrived!

The new, larger, map is now in the full sized map display on the main Cartography page. We don’t have details on some of the new lands because quite frankly, we haven’t had a lot of contacts with most of these realms in quite some time.

Obviously, The Grove, is an exception, as we have our own ambassador, Council Member, Trevin D’Vills. It was not on our previous maps due to treaty issues that have since been resolved.

As you may be aware, Councilor D’Vills will be leading our expedition to the Southern Lands along with other valuable members and allies of the Council of Wizardry. Rest assured, this expedition, while expensive, is vital to understanding our current predicament and finding a solution to it.

As we accumulate more recent information on these distant realms, we will update the Cartography section.

    Thank you,

    Councilor Lenamare.

    Hmm,

Despite your highly troubling name, you seem quite polite. If only others had such manners.

    Hmmph.

Well, you might also be interested to note that I’ve added a section on The Grove to the site. As you know, The Grove is the home of my esteemed colleague Trevin D’Vils. I myself have never been there, actually I’m not even sure I know anyone, other than Trevin, that has been there.

I would have had to fly over Turelane or Abancia to get there, and as I am sure you are aware, those two regions are plagued by a highly disreputable fellow named Exaturd.

Anyway, since the expedition will be going there, at least for a bit, I thought it useful to post. Hopefully Jenn will read up on where she’s going.

    Lenamare

PS: if you happen to see Rupert’s cousin, the miscreant has gone missing, tell him that he can just stay away. How cowardly to disappear when the going gets tough. I’m sure he freaked out when my Greater Demon started smashing Talarius to bits and so grabbed Rupert and fled for the hills. I find it amazing that he could be so rude to Jehenna and I and then flee in terror at the sight of a demon that I conjured and control. You’d have thought my ownership of the Greater Demon would have caused him to treat me with more respect.

Young people. Agh. If only one could have an Academy and not have to deal with youths!

in reply to: Future books? #1865

    OH….puh lease….

I hope you aren’t buying this “I’m really omniscient cause I’m crazy” crap from Tizzy?

This demon is a known faker. A fraud! A scoundrel! No one seriously thinks he’s sentient let alone omniscient!

    L.

in reply to: Avatars went missing (sort of) #5499

My gravatar does not seem to load automatically. However, I am seeing a gravatar G.

Also, why does Tizzyr’s work? Surely that miscreant doesn’t have a gravatar account?
