Demon pot it would probably more like getting alcohol poisoning on moonshine vs near beer. At least that’s how I look at it strength wise.

Malazan book of the fallen series by Steven Ericson was also good. A complicated/long series that kinda confused me by the end trying to keep track but it did end. There were almost to many differnt characters to track.

I was tempted to start rereading it until I realized I had no idea where I put the hard copies. Kindle has spoiled me.

I also read the sword of truth series and I wish I had stopped around book 3* when the first story arc ended.

Well since I already read the book I do like how the new cover really shows how scary Tom looks along with his size.

The original cover you don’t really get that feel of how big Tom really is.

Luckily for me I get to appreciate both.
That’s the key point I “want” to hear.

My dread is that have spent the money on an actual artist for the cover, everyone will go. “Oh, the first was so much better, you shouldn’t have wasted the money!”
There’s a joke art of your cover I think from someguy that does spoofs on book art, for the life of me I can’t remember where I saw it but it made me chuckle. Tom had a really silly look on his face. Hmm I am going to feel silly if it wa from here.. But I shall hit post anyways!

Wanted to add your cover art is what cought my eye and made me stop to buy the book. It was original.

I am very excited and the anticipation is killing me. With TAG being so active and having a well formed world I don’t have to worry about it being like the slap in the face that was the blood song sequel.

Ok, the hot dr pepper with lemon is good and even better after adding a little fireball. Yummy.

Although I wish I didn’t have to wait it’s nice to see TAG has given a hard time.
@Rosver: Back to warm cola (beverage, not user)

True, it must be cold to carbonate, but then once sealed in an air tight container, it can get warm. It’s stored warm in stores all the time, just drink it fast after opening it off the shelf.

NOW…technically we were talking about Cola…Dr. Pepper is very different.

Many people enjoy mulling Dr. Pepper (remember it has those secret spices–so technically heat it and it’s pre mulled). What many people do is heat Dr Pepper, like Tea or Coffee and then add a lemon slice. It is, surprisingly good.

I will have to try that with doctor pepper.

I think Maelen already knows that Edward is Tom. When they first meet he calls Edward Tom after reading him. Then everyone refers to the demon Tom add that with the portal to the abyss and I would guess he figured it out and is just waiting for Edward to come clean. Add in the future sight and his ability to read Edwyrd it might cut back on the normal fear response.

I am looking forward to Exador’s reaction along with Beth and Ramses. Mainly their shock from the fight maybe something along the lines of “a lvl4 demon can’t do that.”

It will also be interesting seeing everyone’s else’s reaction since the fight was recorded.

Lastly I want to see if Tom changes any from stealing the gods mana near the end of the fight.
Excellent shade of blood in your request!
I would also like to sign up for beta reading. Thank you kindly.

On a side note, I always figure if I came into a lot of money say for example winning the lottery I would just set up a booth and pay people for their souls.

500-10,000 dollars per contract depending on quality of course. (Maybe a soul credit check)I figure most people would think its a joke thus it’s free money. On top of that it wouldn’t come into effect until after they die so again most people wouldn’t care. It will be easy to target non-religious people. maybe I should start at a liberal arts college.. Set a booth up titled “free money-Sign Here”.

So if I am wrong I lose a little money and if I am right I get a large quantity of free souls with no work involved. Of course this action makes multiple assumptions on the nature of the universe.
Hmm, not sure what your blood will do to me. Since I am, after all the purest incarnation of sanity, the baseline by which it is measured everywhere, it could have the interesting affect of shifting everyone else insane.

Speaking of selling ones soul at a booth, up above, it really reminded me of a very cheesy 70’s sitcom that lasted less than a year called “A Year at the Top”

In it the Devil was an agent (mainly for musicians, but presumably others, I don’t recall) and in exchange for your soul, you got a year at the top of your field, mainly the Charts. I really enjoyed it. If I hadn’t been buying and selling souls for several millenia, it might have inspired me to get into the business.
Well my plan I think would be a lot cheaper with a one time payment. However it would probably be a horrible show.

oh that’s exciting only bad thing about that show is it makes me want to drink heavily.

I am also waiting on the 4th season of Archer which also makes me want a drink and have cheeky shenanigans at work… Maybe I have a problem.
