MemberRectificated!
You should be good.
Really don’t understand what their problem with this server is. MS and Google wizards hate this website. I’ve tried various SPF incantations and they still zap my emails…except for the the ones to me.
Which is very odd, the more that I think about it. You are a LIVE person which is MS and my email is hosted at Orifice 365 and I get notifications, the only reason I can think of that my messages get through is that I am sending to astlan.net from astlan.net
Sorry for delay.

MemberYeah, that could be tricky, they use the same email server as this site!
Tizzy
MemberExcellent point! And I am thinking one that Trig might have noted since that topic is right up his alley!
Tizzy
MemberCool.
This is sort of a very unofficial list. An official topic for signups on a per book basis will be created closer to time.
This topic was sort of going to be that, but it was so long ago now, that T-A-G will start a new one about a month before each beta begins.
There will be countdown messages in the groups.
We are, however, actually, hopefully, maybe, getting somewhere in the vicinity of the distant, remote neighborhood of OOA:ITN beta. T-A-G is hoping to start OOA:ITN Beta in Q1 of 2018.
We shall see.

MemberAt the moment, T-A-G is out in deep space with a party of Orks. However, some stuff happening there will also be in Book 4, so that is sort of like stoning two harpies with one pipe.
I gotta be honest though, not a huge fan of the harpies, if I am honest, of all the Olympian ladies, I like Medusa the best, now she’s someone who really knows how to get stoned!

MemberTalk about a foul fowl! Need very potent cookies to stomach those birds!
Probably why they’re cooked down in pies, Sweeney Todd style, so you don’t know what you are eating.
Tizzy
MemberHmm
Did not get notification of this post….evil MS Wizards…???
I think that would work, but based on the smell of these things, Long Turd Pie might be more appropriate…

MemberWhat can I say, I am a picky eater.
As I told Jenn on Asmeth’s ship, I’m on a baby (4) food diet! [flapper]
Actually, that’s really for effect, I really don’t enjoy eating babies, they’re generally too mushy and fatty and oozing random fluids from every end. Orc babies are less mushy than human or elven babies but even so…don’t really enjoy them.
To be honest, (don’t tell anyone as it will ruin my demonic reputation) I’m actually a cookietarian! That is really all I’ve eaten for the last umpteen millennia.

MemberSounds pretty much identical in style to the Doom Metal the guys in our band play!
Love it! 4 Thumbs up and a 1 Big Toe. I’d give it more big toes, but then I might fall over, currently I’m in a corridor in Doom and don’t have the ceiling height to fly, cause then I could give it 4 Big Toes.

MemberWell, on that topic, if you think things on your planet are going to shitesville, imagine a planet like yours being invaded by Orks hurtling through your atmosphere in their dropships launched from their armada?
You really haven’t experienced terror until you are on the receiving end of something like that.
Which, interesting, sort of sets up the conundrum in OOA. What does a warrior race that relies on inflicting terror upon their enemies do, when they face a new enemy that refuses to be terrified, and in fact, is pretty damn terrifying themselves.

Does an ICBM with a nuclear war head count as terrorising?
Only if a crazy guy wearing a cowboy hat, or a strange orange varmint, on his head is riding it, and heading towards you.

Also being India living right next to Pakistan is a great way to feel scared I have nothing against Pakistani people but I have no faith in their government or their army, but I agree drop ships are definitely scarier. I mean bombs in marketplaces vaporise you. Orcs dismember you. Important difference. I would love to see that happen, the confrontation between two races. Crazy.
Better to be living in India next to Pakistan, than Afghanistan next to Pakistan, or anywhere in Afghanistan for that matter. Plus, the great thing about living in India is you can always find something hot enough to eat that the gut wrenching agony in your stomach keeps your mind off of your imminent demise.
Actually, you bring up a good point. You get vaporized, it’s very quick and relatively painless, (note this does not apply to a C.o.D. those hurt pretty bad) whereas you may live in extreme agony for a few minutes as your limbs are hacked off and your blood pumps out like in those very realistic Monty Python sketches. Tis but a flesh wound.

MemberWhich mythos are mixed?
Now to be clear, I prefer my mythos shaken, not stirred…:d/

Member
Who said anything about Angelina Jolie? You get a Viking drunk enough, he’d dip his wick in anything.:-s
In one of the most epic instances of bad casting, Angelina Jolie played Grendel’s mom in the 2007 3D animated Beowulf movie.

Seriously, not her, not her at all.
I can’t tell you how many mirrors I broke trying to get a family mirroring for Grendel and his mom. She was literally anti-photogenic.

Member
You know, I can’t help but wonder if some vikings managed to make it down to the American South. In a lot of ways they bear a striking resemblance to the Southern American group called “redneck”. They love their gods and weapons, and a lot of their adventures start with “Here, hold my beer and watch this”.
Hmm, that quote is the deciding piece of evidence. Clearly they must have.
They did trade with Persia via the vulga trade route, and eventually to Italy by going around the coast of Spain. They also traded, at least indirectly, with China. Not to mention upper North America, could very possibly got down there and established a lost colony.

MemberAt the moment OOA is in the lead for first beta.
The question I have is this: If you party in deep space, can anyone hear the rave?
