Yes, a Google search brings up http://www.scott-duff.com/, which is great if you’re looking for assembly and owner’s guides for M1 Garands (a most awesome rifle), but I don’t believe that’s what you were pointing us to. 🙂
2020-06-02 at 15:22 #4796IumeMemberScott V Duff and his Twice Dead God series. I couldn’t get past Chapter 1.
2020-06-02 at 15:22 #4797Dirk FlambergeMemberIume, I’m not sure if that’s the same Duff, at least, i don’t see Gilán on his book list.
2020-06-02 at 15:22 #4798IumeMemberGilán is one of the characters in the series. I figured it was Scott V. Duff being mentioned so I checked the Amazon preview of one of his books and there was Gilán.
2020-06-02 at 15:22 #4799MikeyMember
Mikey, what is Gilán about? and could you please link me Gilán or Scott Duff’s Site? thanks bud.
It’s around 1800 pages on non-Monomyth urban fantasy, nonstandard coming of age where a 17 year old kid discovers brotherhood, parenthood and war, along with accidentally inventing and creating his own magical kingdom, Gilán.
2020-06-02 at 15:22 #4800IumeMemberI don’t if this has been speculated upon yet, but what if Tizzy does have the ability shapechange and is secretly Rupert’s father? Tizzy arranged for the prophecy and needed to setup the events in question, so it is likely he is involved with Rupert’s birth in some manner.
2020-06-02 at 15:22 #4801GelcubeMemberWell, not Tizzy specifically, but speculation is running that perhaps the Concordenax is their father, and perhaps Tizzy is the Concordenax. But…we know that’s crazy talk, right Tizzy?
2020-06-02 at 15:22 #4802IumeMemberI thought the Concordenax theory was shot down at some point? Also, what if Tizzy is the Concordenax’s brother, former peer, or something? Imagine Tizzy (Tizzy of all people!) turning into the apparently gorgeous demon prince that seduced Rupert’s mom. That’d be a mind blow.
2020-06-02 at 15:22 #4803TizzyMemberAnyone that has seen me and the Concordenax side by side, will tell you that I look nothing like the Concordenax.
I can also say, that yes, various entities have seen me and the Concordenax in the same room at the same time before.
Unfortunately, this was before the invention of selfies, so don’t have any pictures of me with the Concordenax but…
I really don’t know where these rumors come from. The Concordenax is a lousy conversationalist; and everyone knows that I am one of the best and most engaging!
I am in high demand for cocktail parties and dinner engagements. People are so thrilled to have me at their parties, that when I leave, they always provide me with a personal escort to see that I get home.
2020-06-02 at 15:22 #4804GelcubeMemberMy, Tizzy, you’re quite popular! They must REALLY want to see you home safe! But why would anyone want to harm you? OH! I get it, they send guards so you’re not accidentally harmed by your legions of adoring fans! See, that’s classy right there.
2020-06-02 at 15:22 #4805TizzyMemberHmm, that makes a lot of sense! I will go with that then!
Thanks!
2020-06-02 at 15:22 #4807GelcubeMemberHmm. I didn’t think of that angle. You’re right about that. Oorstemoth would be an Evil-er Evil Empire to them. Ooooo, I can see some amusing antics with that!
2020-06-02 at 15:22 #4808TizzyMemberWell fortunately, not a lot of wizards summon D’Orcs; not even sure demon summoning is legal in Oorstemoth.
Seems like the demon would have to get a visa before it could enter the country. Would a customs agent have to be standing beside a wizard every time he/she summoned a demon?
So we won’t have to worry about D’Orcs meeting Oorstemothians, because it’s not like Oorstemothians are going to just charge into the Abyss trying to press a lawsuit or anything like that…..
](*,)
I mean what? Just walk up to the Doom’s front door and try to serve a subpoena? Seems like a really good way to get eaten!
2020-06-02 at 15:22 #4809IumeMemberIf the Abyss is infinite in size what guarantees (other than TAG’s decision) would result in the Inferno coming out even remotely close to Mount Doom. I’m just imagining the fun it would be if the Inferno popped out right over the Courts of Chaos. Suddenly assaulted by multiple demon princes. Oh what trouble it’ll be.
2020-06-02 at 15:22 #4812IumeMember

Actually, that is mentioned by Chancellor Alighieri as they prepare to leave. They don’t have any reliable maps of the Abyss, documentation is quite sparse. They take the Inferno up to about 35,000 feet (assuming altitude remains the same in the Abyss–not sure how good that is but…) to very specifically avoid popping up in the middle of the Courts of Chaos. [Or any other local topography or demon hordes]
The assumption, and this is the reason for the alliance is that the priests of Tiernon should be able to locate the only other “Tiernon” attuned source in the Abyss.
Of course, this assumes that Asmodeus’ “guest” a former High Priestess (and beloved of Talarius) is not also lit up as Tiernon Beacon
=d>

I vaguely recall some of that, but other than homing in part I think you cut the rest of it out from the final version. I just checked Chapter 111 and I don’t see a mention of the other parts.
