Yep…see my long long discussion with Rosver on crap that shows up in the Abyss.
Problem is the demons, being SLOTHful, steal this stuff, and try and get it to work by twine and bandaids and sort of use it up/go through it pretty fast.
They don’t really create much (most of them) so everything is jerry-rigged.
I hope you are not laughing at our various serious discussions on matters of life, death and eternal torment.
Eternity is a very serious matter, as is the lack of eternity caused by True Death.

Actually, I am trans-fluent in sign language. Having 4 hands makes me almost impossible to drown out in a conversation!
If I had two heads I could do the same with audible speech.
Of course, now that I offered you mispronunciation as an explanation…and you wrote this really nice long post…I have to be a little bit demonic.
They were all on the Astral Plane when Tom “said his name” turns out there is no air on the Astral Plane (or not much) and no physical body to move air to make sound. Everything is a form of mental/spiritual communications.
So whether you THINK you are speaking English or Clickese it’s not sound based. I believe the spells the wizards use, have some sort of brain wave translator built into them…but really not sure.

We had a spammer successfully navigate the captcha and email activation. Meaning I’m thinking it was a manual setup, but who knows.
If you see spam, use the “Report” button under the post (I think you can all see it) this then sends it to the Moderator Golem and I can then “report it as spam” to the Anti-Spam Gods. Like a prayer, not sure if this does much, but worth a shot.
I then went in and threw the Spammer into the River Styx.
It might be amusing to see what happens to the spammer, if he/she ever reemerges from the icky waves…
Unfortunately, deleting the person’s posts also killed a post of smw’s because the spam post started the topic, should have moved smw’s post, so everyone would know what a great spam hunter SMW is!

In particular, he inscribed it on a ring, thus while there might be some leeway in pronounciation…when you put it in writing, you better get it 100% perfect.
We demons are a bit picky about such things.

Speaking of spelling mistakes, just saw a story yesterday where a scholar says he’s found a spelling mistake in the official copy of the US Declaration of Independence.
So….I guess that means it’s null and void, so all Hail the new United States of Britannia!” God Save the Queen! Chip Chip Cheerio!
Spelling mistakes, grammatical mistakes when dealing with demons are a bad idea. One wrong semicolon and there goes your right hand…

They all freak out, overreact and do stupid things that make things even worse. Pretty much Standard Operating Procedure from Book 1! 🙂
You do know that books were invented in the Abyss by demons to torture mortals.
We use a process called Fiction Addiction to torture people.
We get you hooked on a book, then make you wait and wait and wait for a sequel.
When you eventually get the sequel, you get it, you start reading it avidly to fix your addiction, and then a few days later (or less) you are done with it and desperately wanting the next book in the series…and so the torture begins again.
We were really successful with this torture strategy for books, and then Movies and TV Shows.
Unfortunately, things like Netflix that allow one to binge watch are putting a real hit out on us. Fortunately, once you are done binge-ing a series/season, we do get to torture you waiting for the next series/season.
Obviously GRRM has taken this torture to new heights. Perhaps he is the Concordenax?
