ya I thought it was mighty unfortunate that the inferno didn’t have it
or maybe fortunate b/c I don’t know what sam would have done if he was busted

it’s possible they thought they wouldn’t need it b/c they didn’t expect anything but demons in the abyss
but i wonder does it identify demons specifically or just animus/mana bodies b/c I think bess showed up on in before

wonder if tiernon’s avatars would show up on it

although it would make sense for the Nyjyr Ennead to have one on their moon b/c they have Bess in the abyss and Phaestus likes to visit and stuff
though I guess if Bess actually used it she would blow her cover
possibly god pools would also be more vulnerable on mortal planes than outer planes?

I guess that’s one of the reasons for the Doomalogs (think i spelled that wrong) b/c they give Orcus/Tom access to supplementary mana regardless of what plane he is on

unless someone sets up a barrier like the liches/exador/sentir fallon

well if the risar go in head/feet first and just jump/dive/slide
the portal wouldn’t need to be as big as if the walked through upright

also I would think Hilda would be greater demon level cause she is relatively new (I’m assuming tiernon starts his avatars of at greater demon level like tom/orcus does) but she was kicking a lot of ass in that last battle but maybe that’s because she had a lot of mana from the god pool at her disposal?

also guessing that beragamos and sentir fallon are at demon prince/almost demon prince level at least

so I’m guessing because of this whole digestion thing that there is no point in trying to eat/absorb other demons/angels/gods to power up?

also completely unrelated but Doom could totally use a water/lava slide starting at the top of the mountain down to the Doomspa
would be super awesome

i think d’orcs + tizzy could totally get behind an extreme and possible life-threatening water park

well they would only be cut off from their god pools if they have them in the outer planes
if they established them in the mortal planes or the abyss they should be fine right?

in fact aren’t the Nyjyr Ennead living on a moon in the astlan/mortal plane right now? (cause their plane in the outer planes got destroyed?
so Bess and Phaestus should have access to their god pools

So I’m not gonna refer to any specific D’orcs right now cause I’d have to look up their names in the books (b/c they are hard to remember/spell)

but I remember someone saying the D’orc are pretty much all greater demons at least
so that makes me pretty sure that the generals/commanders are probably at least arch demons (evidence being they can super size)
but maybe demon prince level for some of the stronger ones?

it would make sense for Orcus to have demon princes under him cause some of them have been alive for so long and sam+lilith also have demon princes under them

also is there any definitive marker of arch demon vs. demon prince like having a “demon pool” or something or is it just being stronger/being made up of more mana+animus like the other levels

also if anyone remembers the whole spectrum and wants to put it up that would be cool

ok here’s a thought
we’ve basically got a prison full of gods/titans in the basement
why aren’t we using them to generate mana
those are some pretty big batteries

also, doom may not have the whole avatar filtration system, but we should be able to purify mana somehow
maybe those big batteries in the basement are also giant filters?

also wondering if doom has a max mana capacity and how that would compare to god and pantheon pools
also wondering how dooms output rate is compared to god pools (like how fast can Tom pull mana from doom systems) b/c I see that being a big advantage b/c what does it matter if you can’t throw the second punch if he’s dead after the first one
also its not like anyone has run one of these things dry yet so no need to worry about gas mileage slap a race engine on there instead of the economy version
would having purer/more dense mana help or hurt that rate?

I remember that Tom had trouble “digesting” purified/godly mana before
is that because he wasn’t fully healed yet/back to spec
would other god’s be able to “digest” purified mana

also is there a merit to using purified mana to create artifacts/staffs/weapons rather than larger amounts or raw mana?
does it result in a higher quality product
although if that was true it would necessitate Doom purifying its own mana b/c pheastus has access to his own anyway and volund can probs get some from pheastus if he doesn’t have his own

i was hoping for a while that tom would become the concord in some weird time bending fasion

as for tizzy … my guess is that he’s loki

he was called the trickster a couple times in book two …

and loki’s a trickster

and he’s from the same pantheon/myths as the orcs and volund … pretty sure anyway
