First off, I find some of this is difficult (in a good way) because the ‘facts’ you’ve posted about demons and magic are written by humans – wizards/animages etc. That means (at least this is how I’ve interpreted it) that while all the ‘facts’ make sense, they’re not necessarily true.

Animus and mana seem to have a symbiotic relationship that is important to mana wielders. Do all mana wielders (aka people who don’t radiate their excess mana but instead store it) grow animus with age?

“stealing pure God Mana….well this is completely unknown and is the subject of a LOT of freak out on the part of everyone.” Is Ramses, Bess, Exador and others also aware of exactly how and what Tom did?

P.S. Are we ever going to figure out where Tizzy stores his pipe? :p

    Hahahahaha

I wouldn’t mind Tom dropping back home, its likely he’ll be able to go seeing as how The Abyss is built like New York City so therefore there still must be a connection to it. However, Tom’s world is Astlan now, if he went back it’d only be I’d imagine to say bye to his mother.

Actually I wonder if Demons would be trapped and what would happen if they went to earth. From what I gather, earth is an extremely low in mana, perhaps non-existant realm, making magic nearly impossible as well as making it difficult for any ‘magical’ species to survive there. Since Tom no longer has a physical body, only a magical construct of a sort, I imagine it wouldn’t survive long on earth… or perhaps he’d be trapped there unless he had enough energy to cross back.

Inevitably Tom is going to need to kill a demon (true death). How does one demon kill another? I know Lilith remarked several times on killing demons (well Tizzy) and it sounded like there are two ways. One where it sounded like the demon is absorbed into the stronger demon and the other where it’s simply dissolved. If it isn’t too much of a spoiler, can you explain it?

Also, in the fight at the end of volume I, the priests cast a black cloud spell on Tom which severely hurt him and caused him to start bleeding out of his pores (who knew demons had them :p). Were they attempting the CoD? If so why didn’t it instantly kill Tom like with the level 3 demon?
