With all of the abilities Talarius and other knights have shown, they are ridiculous strong for mortals. The way Exador, Bess, Ramses acted when they saw his armor when he fought with Tom, really showed me just how strong his armor was. I started thinking about Iron Man, since their capabilities are pretty similar, and I think in a surprise fight, where neither had a chance to prepare, Talarius would destroy Tony Stark. So I guess my question is, is the price of outfitting one of these knights similar to the price of building an iron man suit? It has to take years to make all of the enchanments involved with each piece right? If they had any way of mass-producing that gear, they could legitimately conquer the abyss, or at least the courts, in a century.

In Nysegard, curing ghouls seems like a pretty regular occurrence. No one was surprised that Hilda cured Vampires, which is a much more difficult feat.

Melissance was mad that Talarius didn’t cure her, and instead left her for dead, when she could have easily cured herself if she still had access to Tiernon’s mana.
We know her mana is still attuned to his, because that’s how she was found in the abyss. Was there no way for her to gather mana from her followers, like the rod members on the Inferno did? Or was it a time sensitive thing, like the demon offered her the deal when they were all moments from dying?

Also, when we first meet Talarius, he is killing ghouls and lamenting that there is no cure. He is completely distraught, though still doing his job, that there is no way to cure them but death.
    Did he forget somehow?
Or was he just never taught about the cure? It seems like a cure would be a major help to his job.

I know his knife was corrupting him ( I can’t remember how to spell the name), could it have somehow made him believe it was incurable? It makes a lot more sense than him believing that his love chose to be a ghoul.

He also didn’t have any epiphany type moments in Nysegard, and I can’t believe that he didn’t see some hints of ghouls being cured. If not just because no one was crying about having to burn a recently infected loved one on a stake, which would have to be a pretty common occurrence in Nysegard if there was no cure. This would make sense if it was the knife making him believe it was incurable.

Or I guess it could just be something that was missed between the two books.

Okay, thats good, I didn’t want Lenamare to be able to look at his school records and then be able to capture Rupert and interrogate him.

ABout the D’orc making process: Could Tom do something similar for Vaselle, so that if Vaselle is killed he could come back as a demon? That seems like something he might be willing to try, and he would be a good first test subject, because if he didn’t come back, none of the orcs would be upset, and Tom wouldn’t want them to lose faith in him, if they thought he couldn’t bring them back if he promised it to them.

I am just wondering, T-A-G mentioned orcgres can there be d’orcgres? If so, Tom really needs to recruit a couple.

Also, I am really interested in seeing more of St. Hilda. As much as I want to see Tiernon taken down, I don’t see how she could survive it. It seems like a lot of his followers are pretty good people, and at least of couple of his avatars. Is there any way for an avatar to switch who they follow, or are they intrinsically attached to their patron? Since Hilda isn’t as focused on demon slaying as certain other members of her religion, (that happen to be prisoners in the Abyss at this time), I can see her eventually realizing that Tom is not the bad guy, and if at all possible, siding with the Nyjyr Ennead when they take on Tiernon. I really want to see her on the less evil side( I was going to say good, but that doesn’t describe the FOE very well)

Speaking of shamans, towards the end of THH Rupert and Fer-Rog are learning skin walking and Tom had already shown some proficiency in this, when he was able to make himself into an older looking version of himself. Rupert at least is able to switch between demon, orc and human. How extreme can these changes go? Tom already has a tail that can shoot lighting, could he grow a flamethrower on his arm or something if he wanted to? OR something less extreme like an extra set of arms like Reggie or Tizzy?

Ooh, if someone is powerful enough, can they force someone else to change appearance? If so, that would be a cool way to torture wizards, he could make them look at least partially demonic, and tell them that he took their soul. Although, wizards would probably be able to undo it eventually. I would say he could do it to priests, but that would be too cruel. It would be an awesome/evil joke to play on Jenn, or, if changing someone else isn’t possible, Rupert and Edwyrd could meet up with Jenn, and both show a bit of horn growing, or have vertical pupils, and let her think they have been “corrupted”. Tom would NEVER do this to her, but I can see Rupert changing his eyes to freak her out, if they were about to admit to her her that they were demons.

Since wizards create demons by pulling on entities from planes so far away from theirs that they cant recognize them as human, that seems to imply that when they do whatever ceremony is used to summon new demons, they can differentiate between “humans” and “demons” in the astral plane. Since they are all, or at least mostly human in the first place, does that mean that a wizard could, if he chose to, target another wizard, turning him into a demon and a slave? This seems like something Lenamare would do if he knew about it.

Ooh, idea. Tizzy mentioned to Tom that in order to travel to low manna planes, demons would have an incubus have kids for them on that plane, so they could be summoned. This seems like a great way for demons to get revenge on their Accursed Masters, they could go to earth, which is far enough away that people from there are mistaken for demons in the astral plane, and the demons can have their kids do a new demon binding whenever a wizard goes into the astral plane.

I forgot about that. it will be hilarious. Just imagine living with a medieval level of technology, and then you see a fight with lightsabers, lasers, and gravity cannons. Not to mention a demon that can apparently suck the life out of chaos knights with a thought. Plus certain people will be able to recognize Sekmet and her sphinxes. Sentir fallon is really going to freak, he will recognize sekmet, and he believes that Tom is Orcus. Seeing them work together, and kicking ass while doing so, is going to terrify him. Now that I think about it, these books need to be made into movies, if only for that scene,( Not that the whole series isn’t movie worthy, but I really want to see that fight if it is half as awesome as I imagined while reading it, it would be one of the best movie battles ever).
